The following article lists all the skyscrapers in Las Vegas from a height of 150 meters with the associated status according to their architectural height.

introduction

The city of Las Vegas in the US state of Nevada has a few skyscrapers, but these are mostly different in terms of design and use from those in the classic skyscraper cities of the USA such as New York City , Chicago or Atlanta . In contrast to the buildings there, an above-average number of high-rises in the desert city of Las Vegas serve as hotels, which is due in particular to the high number of tourists . There are comparatively few skyscrapers that house classic offices, but there are also many residential buildings or structures that house both hotels and residential units. Architecturally, the skyscrapers in the Las Vegas skyline stand out from the classic slender towers of most other major US cities due to their mostly wide and compact shape.

The tallest building in Las Vegas is the Palazzo Hotel with a height of 196 meters. The tallest structure in the city is the Stratosphere Tower , a 350 meter high observation tower, but this is not counted as a building, as only a few levels of the tower are actually usable (in the sense of apartments, hotels, offices, etc.). In second and third place are the Encore Las Vegas and the Trump International Hotel & Tower (192 meters and 189 meters, respectively ). At the top of the tallest buildings in the United States, however, the city of Las Vegas doesn't matter. Many cities, both on the east and west coasts and in the Midwest, have comparatively significantly taller buildings.

The Fontainebleau Resort Hotel is a 224 meter high building that has already reached its full height. The construction work stood still for years due to financing problems. In 2017 a consortium bought the building and announced that it would be completed under the name "The Drew". The opening is planned for 2022.
