The Jüterbog military training area , also known as Jüterbog-West , is a former military training area in the urban area of Jüterbog and partly in the municipality of Niedergörsdorf in the Teltow-Fläming district . It has a total area of 9280 hectares. The military use took place from 1864 to summer 1992.

The resulting barracks were given the nicknames Old Camp , New Camp, Adolf Hitler Camp and Forest Camp Forst Zinna . Further to the east was the Heidehof military training area .

In 1999, 7190 hectares of the site were designated as NSG Forst Zinna-Jüterbog-Keilberg . They are looked after by the Brandenburg Natural Landscapes Foundation. The area is part of the Nuthe-Nieplitz Nature Park .

There is still a lot of ammunition in the ground of the site. Massive fires broke out on the site in June and July 2019. Direct fire fighting on site was not possible due to the soil contaminated with ammunition residues.
