A Tschebur e k ( Russian чебурек ; plural form Tschebur e ki ( чебуреки )) is a Russian originally from the kitchen of the court, Crimean Tatars comes. The term is a linguistic modification of the Crimean Tatar word çüberek or the Turkish çiğ börek .

A cheburek is a flat, semicircular dumpling that is usually fried with minced lamb or another hearty filling (chebureki with minced beef or pork , but also with mushrooms , mashed potatoes or cheese ) in hot vegetable oil until golden becomes. Chebureki are widespread as fast food both in Russia and in other successor states of the former Soviet Union .
