Tschernembl is the name of a noble family that comes from the Windisch Mark . As knights in the Carniola , they moved to Upper Austria and were finally ennobled as barons .

history

The first representatives of this sex were mentioned in a document in the 14th century. Martin was 1431-1437 and Georg 1444 Krainer Vicedom , 1450 also governor of Krain. In 1464 Georg and Caspar were from Emperor Friedrich III. accepted into the gentry's class. In 1479 a Georg appears as the highest tavern of the state of Carniola and the Windische Mark and at the same time as governor of Styria . Around 1535 Christoph moved to Upper Austria and, by marrying Margarethe von Schärfenberg, brought the Lords of Schwertberg and Windegg to his house. He was then in the Upper Austrian provincial governmentrecorded. As leading representatives of the Protestants , some members had to leave the country after 1620. In 1677 the Counts Tschernembl in the main line went out. A branch line built a permanent house in 1281 , which was called "Castrum novum" ("Neuhaus"). After that they called themselves " Castelnuovo am Karst " or Nayhauß . In 1313 Winther is mentioned in a document by the nine house . The Nayhauß cormons still exist today.
