Georg von Tschernembl

Georg Herr von Tschernembl († 1480 ) was a nobleman and most recently governor of Styria .

Life

Georg von Tschernembl was the son of the knight Petrus von Tschernembl and his second wife Ursula Gradner. In 1435 he became Vicedom and captain of Trieste and accompanied Friedrich III. 1436 on his pilgrimage to the Holy Land. In 1477 he hands over the main team of Trieste to Nicolaus Rauber and becomes governor of Styria, but dies in 1480.

In 1464 Georg was with his brother Caspar from Emperor Friedrich III. He was raised to the rank of gentry and imperial leader and was rewarded with the inheritance office in Carniola and the Windische Mark .

Georg was first married to Anna Weinburger, in 1450 his second marriage to Agnes von Kraigk (Kreig) , the sister of Georg, Hartneid and Andre Kraiger von Kraigk. In 1460 he married Adelgund von Rohr , daughter of Ottokar Rohr and Katharina Heussler, the third wife , the children were Heinrich, Balthasar and Helena.
