Eberhard VIII. Of Walsee († 17th July 1363 ), from the Ministerialengeschlecht the Walseer , was from 1359 to 1361, as did his grandfather Ulrich I of Walsee and his father Ulrich II. Of Walsee governor of Styria . With Eberhard VIII, the Walsee-Graz line died out.

Life

In June 1354, Eberhard VIII took with his father Ulrich II and his relatives Friedrich III. von Walsee-Graz and Friedrich II. von Walsee-Linz took part in the campaign of Duke Albrecht II and Emperor Charles IV against the people of Zurich .

In 1359 Eberhard VIII von Walsee took over the post of captain in Styria and all of his possessions from his father Ulrich. In 1361 he joined the main team but again at Albero III. from Puchheim .

Possessions

Eberhard VIII bequeathed a large part of his property to his aunt Diemut, the Count of Cilli and the Pettauern . The rest went to the Walsee relatives. The Walsee-Enns line inherited the Riegersburg . The Walsee-Drosendorf line received the castles and lordships of Gleichenberg , Weinburg and Kapfenstein as well as the pledge of Waxenegg . The Walsee-Linz line was almost empty.
