The TuS 1902 Herrensohr is a sports club from the Saarbrücken district Herrensohr .

history

In 1902 the "Turn- und Spielclub Herrensohr" was founded, which joined the German Gymnastics Association the following year . After the First World War, the name was changed to “Turnverein 02 Herrensohr”. In 1930, after the SV 1919 Herrensohr was dissolved, a football department was founded. During the Second World War, sport could only be practiced to a limited extent, after which the club received its current name. In 1955, the soccer department rose to the third-class amateur league Saarland , but two years later TuS Herrensohr had to relegate. In the 2017/18 season the TuS was champion of the Saarland League . However , the club waived the entitlement to promotion to the Oberliga Rheinland-Pfalz / Saar .
