Tuamasaga
Tuamasaga (abbreviation: TUA) is located on the island of Upolu and with an area of 479 km² and a population of 89,582 (as of November 2011) is the largest district (itūmālō) of the island state of Samoa . The population density is 174 inhabitants / km².
Geographical location
Tuamasaga is located in the western center of Upolu and extends from the south coast to the north coast. In the east the district borders on Atua , in the west on A'ana , also on two exclaves of Gaga'emauga and in the north and south on the Pacific Ocean .

The Papapai-uta waterfall, the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Program (SPREP), the Robert Louis Stevenson's Museum, the Cross Island Road and the Bahá'í House of Worship are particularly worth seeing in the district .
Trivia
The Scottish writer Robert Louis Stevenson , who spent his final years in Samoa, and the Samoan head of state Tanumafili II are both buried in this district of Samoa.
