Tuenjai Deetes
Tuenjai Deetes ( Thai เตือนใจ ดี เทศน์ ; born April 8, 1952 in Bangkok ) is a Thai conservationist .
In 1992 she received the Global 500 Award and in 1994 she was honored with the Goldman Environmental Prize . Deetes has worked with the Thai hill tribe since the early 1970s .
Tuenjai Deetes is co-founder of the Hill Area Development Foundation , which has been cooperating with the Thai hill tribes since 1985. The HADF program includes goals such as sustainability , nature conservation , participation of women and prevention / control of substance abuse .
