Tufan Kıraç

Ali Tufan Kıraç (born June 17, 1972 in Elbistan , Kahramanmaraş Province ) is a Turkish rock musician and film composer .

youth

Kıraç's father worked as a teacher in Kahramanmaraş. After the father found a new job in 1982, the entire family moved to İstanbul . His first contact with music was with his father's baglama . In high school, the music teacher Refik Köksal recognized Kıraç's talent and gave him a guitar. During his school days, Kıraç composed and wrote his first songs. In 1990 Kıraç enrolled at Marmara University in İstanbul and studied music to become a teacher. In addition to his studies, he performed in bars in Istanbul's Taksim , Kadıköy and Harbiye districts .

Career

In 1996, Kıraç began producing his first album together with the record company TMC Film Müzik Üretim . Deli Düş was released in 1998, his second album Bir Garip Aşk Bestei came out in 1999. In 2001 TMC Müzik released the duet album Sevgiliye with the two musicians under contract, Tufan Kıraç and Funda Arar . In the same year he released his third album Zaman . Kıraç achieved great fame beyond the rock music scene with his soundtracks to the popular Turkish television series Beyaz Gelincik , Bir Istanbul Masalı , Zerda and Aliye . The albums of the same name were released in 2003/2005.

He wrote the music for the animated series Pepee .
