Funda Arar (born April 8, 1975 in Ankara ) is a Turkish pop singer .

Life

Funda Arar spent her childhood in Ankara, then later in Muğla and Adapazarı . In 1992 she studied at the Türk Müziği Conservatuarı of the Istanbul Technical University .

Career

Her first album Sevgilerde in 2000 was very successful, especially the song Aysel . Son Dans was the 10th best-selling album in Turkey in 2006. It has been certified platinum for over 200,000 units sold .

Her album Zamanın Eli , which was released on March 6, 2009, was among the three best-selling albums of the year with 124,971 units sold by the end of the year.

On February 7, 2011, her seventh studio album Sevdanın Masum Çocukları was released . The album was sold over 70,000 times in the first week and went straight to number 1 in the Turkish Top 20 on March 1st.
