Tukey Island is an island in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located near the center of the Joubin Islands .

The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1975 after Claude C. Tukey (* 1947), kitchen orderly on the RV Hero serving the National Science Foundation on their Antarctic voyage to Palmer Station in 1968.
