Tullio Pellegrinelli

Tullio Pellegrinelli (born February 6, 1964 ) is an Italian enduro athlete . He won the Enduro World Championship once and was a multiple Italian Enduro champion as well as a multiple member of the victorious national trophy team at the International Six-Day Race .

Career

Tullio Pellegrinelli began active enduro sports in 1981. In his first season of competition he was second in the Italian Enduro Championship of the Cadets in class up to 125 cm³. In the following year he became national enduro champion in the junior class up to 125 cm³ on a Gilera . In his first season in the Enduro Championship in 1983, he finished fifth. In 1984 he moved to Kram-It and won the endurance trophy that year and 1985. In 1985 he was also Italian runner-up in the class up to 250 cm³.

In 1986 Tullio Pellegrinelli won the Italian Enduro Championship for the first time in the class up to 250 cm³. He also became a master of all classes. At the international six-day race in San Pellegrino Terme he won the trophy with the Italian national team, and he was second in the class up to 250 cm³.

In 1987 Pellegrinelli was Italian champion in the class up to 500 cc two-stroke and overall winner. In the Enduro European Championship he was second in class. The following year he was on the road with a 250 cc Husqvarna . He won the Italian championship in his class and was again the overall winner. At the international six-day race he was class winner.

In 1989 he was able to defend his national title in the 250cc class. He finished second in the overall standings. He also managed this placement in the Enduro European Championship.

In 1991 he was Italian champion in the class up to 250 cc on a Honda . The following year he wins the world championship in the class up to 500 cm³. In 1993 he moved back to Husqvarna and was again class and overall winner with a 250cc machine.

Further Italian championship titles in the class up to 500 cm³ followed in 1994 and 1997 to 1999. In 1994 and 1995 he was a member of the victorious Italian trophy team at the international six-day races in Tulsa and Jelenia Góra . In 2000 he was Italian runner-up in the four-stroke class. He repeated this in 2001 in the 500 cc two-stroke class. In 2004 and 2005 Pellegrinelli was third in Italy in the 500 cc and 450 cc four-stroke class. In 2006 he was fifth in the class up to 450 cm³ four-stroke. In 2007 and 2008 he was Italian champion in class 2 in the hard race. He was also runner-up in the large four-stroke class.
