Tuncay Yılmaz
Tuncay Yılmaz (* in Izmir , Turkey ) is an internationally known violinist and soloist .
biography
He began his musical training in his hometown of Izmir and then studied at the Ankara State Conservatory . He received a scholarship from the DAAD with which he studied in Germany at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg and at the Hochschule für Musik Saar with Joshua Epstein . He completed his studies in Germany with the highest distinction as a soloist . After completing his studies, Tuncay Yilmaz played as a soloist with the Salzburg Mozarteum , the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra , the Moscow Symphony Orchestra , the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra , the German Radio Philharmonic Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern and the BBC Concert Orchestra . In 1996 Tuncay Yilmaz was appointed a state soloist by the Ministry of Culture of Turkey . In addition to his work as a state soloist, Tuncay Yilmaz plays in the Arkas Trio and has made numerous CD recordings to this day .

Tuncay Yılmaz plays a very rare Italian violin made by Petrus Paulus (Pietro) De Vitor from Venice in 1731. The violin is named The Red Diamond because of its red lacquer and its flawless tone .
