The Tunisian Academic Society (TAG) was founded in 1999 by Tunisian students and graduates from the Technical University of Munich . It is an independent, apolitical and non-denominational association.
Its members are predominantly students, doctoral candidates, engineers and managers whose training took place in the technically oriented universities in Germany (TU Munich, TU Berlin , RWTH Aachen , TU Darmstadt , University of Stuttgart , University of Karlsruhe , University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, etc.) and who are in different areas of the economy are active, be it in Tunisia, Germany, or worldwide.

The purpose is to support the members and the Tunisian students in general during their studies and in everyday matters. In addition, the TAG promotes contacts between the academics in order to expand the exchange of experiences. Through various events, it contributes to the integration of Tunisian students and graduates into German society.
In addition, the association establishes contacts between companies and academics and tries to facilitate their entry into professional life as much as possible.
More than 130 students, doctoral candidates, engineers and managers work in the company.
organization
The TAG is organized in seven working groups:
- The public relations working group: represents the association externally, takes part in important events on its behalf, and maintains its relationships with the various partners. Also ensures that new partnerships with companies are developed and maintained. She develops the company network of the association and monitors the needs of business partners. It also provides new sponsorship and collaboration opportunities.
- The student support working group: deals with the affairs of a student, starting with an introduction to the first semester up to the organization of technical symposia, to support with study / diploma theses and to find jobs. In addition, this group participates in specialist, technically oriented projects on behalf of the association.
- The AG Kultur: has set itself the goal of initiating cultural activities to promote the integration of Tunisian members into German society and to represent and present Tunisia to the German and international community.
- The AG Sport: is responsible for the organization of various sporting events. It contributes to strengthening the relationships between Tunisian students all over Germany by organizing competitions in numerous sports disciplines.
- The AG IT: develops and maintains IT-technical tools for the internal operation of the working groups and promotes the association's presence on the Internet (association's website, social networks, etc.). She also organizes training and courses in various programs and tools for club members.
- The AG member communication: This working group takes care of recruiting new club members among students.
- The AG Professionals: deals with graduate affairs.

TAG career forum
Since 2008, the association has been organizing the annual company contact fair for all academics on a voluntary basis: the TAG career forum. With the participation of numerous companies from Tunisia and Germany and several hundred visitors over the last editions, the TAG career forum serves to convey high potentials.
