The tunnel Neubiberg is a 327 meter long tunnel of the motorway 8 ( Munich - Salzburg ) in the municipality Neubiberg the district of Munich . It leads under the former runway of the Neubiberg air base in today's Hachinger Tal landscape park .

The two tunnels were built between 1960 and 1965. It has two lanes and one hard shoulder in each direction.

With the planning approval decision of July 1, 2009, the retrofitting of the Neubiberg tunnel was resolved to refurbish the drainage system , to build an emergency basin and to build a new company building and follow-up measures.
