Tuomo Hatakka

Tuomo Hatakka (* 1956 in Finland) has been CEO of Vattenfall Europe since January 1, 2008 and Senior Executive Vice President of Vattenfall AB since 2005 .

Hatakka studied at the Helsinki Business School and the IESE Business School in Barcelona . From 1984 to 1991 Hatakka was a manager at " Bain & Company " management consultancy in London and from 1992 to 1993 as director of "Company Assistant Limited" in Poland. At the beginning of 1994 he was appointed Executive Vice President of "Enterprise Investors" in Warsaw . From 2000 to 2001 he was President & CEO of " Elektrim Kable " Warsaw. From 2002 to 2007 Hatakka headed the Vattenfall Business Group Poland .

In August 2010 Hatakka positioned itself as one of 40 prominent signatories of the Energy Policy Appeal , a lobbying initiative of the four major electricity companies in Germany, which advocated extending the service life of German nuclear power plants .

Hatakka is married to a German, has three children, lives in Kleinmachnow near Berlin and speaks Finnish , German , English , Spanish , Swedish and Polish .
