Turan Doğangün (born August 20, 1941 in Kırklareli ) is a former Turkish football player .

Athletic career

In the club

Turan Doğangün started his career in 1962 with Galatasaray Istanbul . In his first season for the yellow-reds , the midfielder came to seven league games and scored one goal. At the end of the season he became Turkish champion for the first time.

At Galatasaray, Doğangün was not convinced of the sport at the time, which is why he switched to MKE Ankaragücü . In the season 1963/64 he came to 31 league appearances and scored 13 goals. With this achievement Doğangün went back to Galatasaray. From this point until 1970 he was considered one of the most important players in midfield. In 1965 and 1966 he was the Turkish Cup winner, in 1969 he won his second championship with the club.

In the summer of 1970 he moved to the 2nd division to Şekerspor . Two years later, Doğangün rose with his teammates in the 1st Lig . A year after promotion, the midfielder ended his career.

In the national team

For the A-selection Turkey Turan Doğangün played from 1966 to 1969 five times.
