Ture Johan Bielke (born May 10, 1742 ; died March 22, 1792 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish lawyer and member of the aristocratic Bielke family .

Life

Bielke was interested in nature and politics in his childhood. He was the son of Sten Carl Bielke and his first wife, Baroness Hedvig Maria (née Brauner, 1721–1742). Carl von Linné said in a letter to his father about him: “ Mr. Baron har en liten son, somehow insect bats än mången gammal. ”(German:“ Herr Baron have a little son who knows more about insects than many an old man ”)

He was enrolled on May 31, 1748 at Uppsala University to study law. On May 8th, 1761 he submitted to Johan your his dissertation on the topic “ De rerum minimarum in maximis momento ” and on November 7th of that year he took his exam in “ Jure Publico Svecano ”. In 1789 he became secretary of the Reichstag in Stockholm and in 1792 was elected to the council of the Swedish National Debt Office. However, he accepted this position.

Bielke is said to be actively involved in the conspiracy against King Gustaf III. and have been involved in planning his assassination. He took on the task of preventing his accomplices from being punished. He called court preacher Magnus Lehnberg to his deathbed to confess his own involvement in the murder. However, he stubbornly refused to reveal the names of the co-conspirators. Lehnberg reported this to the police and called a doctor. Bielke said nothing to the police officers. He died of poison a few hours later. He accepted this because he feared that he would be arrested and that he would testify under the torture that would unnecessarily bring misery to others. The Swedish court court condemned Bielke for his act as a high traitor after Lehnberg had testified what had been confided to him under the confessional secret. Bielke were stripped of their title and dignity. His body should be dishonorably buried in the hangman's field by Gallows Hill. The sentence was carried out. He is described as a respected man who was enthusiastic about the French ideas of freedom. He is said to have been involved in the project for a Free Republic in 1791.

Bielke was married to Hedvig Charlotta (born von Fuhrman, November 20, 1751 - June 22, 1804) from November 24, 1768. She was the daughter of Major Henrik Johan von Fuhrman and his wife Vibecka Charlotta (nee Adlerbeth). The couple had a daughter Christina Charlotta (1769–1828).
