Kevin Holtz (born March 6, 1993 ) is a Luxembourg national football player who has been playing for Progres Niederkorn since 2020 .

Career

The midfielder spent his entire youth with Etzella Ettelbrück. With the club he became Luxembourg U19 champion in 2011.

At the age of 17 he played for Etzella Ettelbrück for the first time on February 20, 2011 in the BGL Ligue against Jeunesse Esch (0-0). He spent the second half of the 2012/13 season on loan at the second division club FC 72 Erpeldingen and then returned to Ettelbrück . In 2019 he reached the final of the Coupe de Luxembourg with the club , which they lost 5-0 to the F91 Dudelange .

At the beginning of May 2020, league rival Progres Niederkorn announced the midfielder's commitment for the coming season .

National team

On September 10, 2012, he played a home game in the European Championship qualification against Bulgaria (1: 3) for Luxembourg's U-21s when he was substituted on in the 54th minute. Holtz made his debut in the senior national team on June 2, 2019 under his father and national coach Luc Holtz in the friendly against Madagascar (3: 3). In the 64th minute he came on for David Turpel and later gave the assist to 3: 3 in stoppage time by Laurent Jans .

His father is Luxembourg's current national coach, Luc Holtz (* 1969), who himself made 54 senior international matches for his country.
