The house Turnstraße 1 is a Grade II listed building in Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is registered in the Quedlinburg monument register as a garden house and is located south of the historic Quedlinburg old town at the confluence of Seilerstrasse and Turnstrasse.

Architecture and history

The two-storey half - timbered house was built around 1780 in a Baroque design. At the time of construction, it was clearly outside the urban development. It is covered with a mansard roof. The half-timbered facade shows a profiled plank and various decorative walls of the compartments as a decorative element .

In the 19th century the door and windows were renewed in the classicism style. In the period after 1920 the house was extended to the north.
