Tuulos [ ˈtuːlɔs ] ( Swedish. Tulois ) is a former municipality in the southern Finnish region of Kanta-Häme . At the beginning of 2009 it was incorporated into the town of Hämeenlinna together with the communities of Hauho , Kalvola , Lammi and Renko .

Tuulos is located 27 km northeast of the city center of Hämeenlinna . In addition to the community center of the same name, the Tuulos community included the villages of Juttila, Lakkola, Pohjoinen, Sairiala, Sydänmaa, Syrjäntaka, Teuro and Toivaala. The municipality had an area of ​​171.30 km² (of which 13.44 km² inland water). The last population was 1,634.

The Church of Tuulos is a medieval stone church from the early 16th century, consecrated to Saint Birgitta . During the Finnish Civil War , a battle between Red Guards and German troops took place in Tuulos in 1918, which is remembered by several monuments.
