The Twinnies are or were a music duo from Jandelsbrunn and Grainet in the Freyung-Grafenau district ( Lower Bavaria ) that combines folk music with pop and rock elements. The trademark of the Twinnies is or was their appearances on rollerblades .

Career

Astrid Paster and Franziska Pauli got to know each other at the Bayerwald harmonica school , which was run by Pauli's father , where they learned the Styrian harmonica . They had their first appearances in the hotel of Paster's parents, where they were discovered and signed by Christian Seitz and Martin Neumayer, the music producers of DJ Ötzi . On March 6th, 2009 the first album Wir rocken auf roles was released by Sony BMG . However, it did not become a commercial success. There were no further publications.

They had their first television appearance in the Musikantenstadl in Riesa on March 7, 2009, followed by other appearances on ARD and on Swiss television . The duo was nominated for the Herbert Roth Prize in 2009. After that, no more news of the Twinnies was heard in the public media.

The official website is now offline again. It is not known whether the Twinnies still exist.
