Two-Piece Reclining Figure: Points (also reclining ) is a two-piece monumental sculpture made of bronze by the English sculptor Henry Moore between 1969 and 1970 . The sculpture was produced in an edition of seven pieces plus one copy for the artist.
Copies
- The artist donated the copy signed and numbered “Moore, 0/7” to the Henry Moore Foundation in 1977, on loan from the Royal Botanic Gardens in the Kew district of London .
- One of the two copies in Germany is in the Hofgarten in Düsseldorf .
- The other is located in the Munich district Maxvorstadt on the green space between the Alte Pinakothek and the Neue Pinakothek ( location ), it is one of the most important treasures among the sculptures in the area of art galleries .
- Another example is the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, DC
- The copy signed by "Moore 2/7" and numbered was Inc., New York, acquired in July 1973 by the Wildenstein & Co. by an owner from which it on 9 November 1999 at the auction house Christie's in New York City in Sale 9224 under lot number 509 for US $ 4,072,500 was auctioned.
