Tylecodon aurusbergensis is a species of the genus Tylecodon in the thick-leaf family(Crassulaceae).

description

Tylecodon aurusbergensis grows as a slightly branched and upright succulent from a conical, smooth to gnarled succulent caudex with a diameter of up to 4 cm. It is up to 8 cm high and the caudex has a gray, peeling bark and has exposed, green tissue. The leaf-bearing shoots have a diameter of 2 to 3 mm and are covered with bract-like leaves up to 5 mm long . The slightly branched stem axis consists of one or more upright and succulent shoots, which have a gray bark and are covered with 1 mm long truncated phyllopodia. The ovate to obovate-spatulate leaves are 1.8 to 2 cm long and 1.5 to 3.5 cm wide. They are crowded at the shoot tips and have glandular hairs. The leaf blade, which is concave to furrowed on the top, is wedge-shaped at the base and blunt at the tip. The underside is provided with maroon stripes.

The inflorescences consist of short, almost sessile monochasia with 1 to 3 glandular hairy upright single flowers, the stalk is 2 to 3 mm long. The inflorescence stalk is 2 to 20 mm long. The tubular crown is about 10 mm long. The light green tube is covered with glandular, downy hair. The pink to pinkish-purple colored tips are later bent back.
