Tylecodon suffultus is a species of the genus Tylecodon in the family of thick-leaf plants (Crassulaceae).
description
Tylecodon suffultus grows as a small, creeping and poorly branched succulent with an underground and branched tuber. The up to 30 cm long and gray shoots reach 3 to 5 mm in diameter and are provided with black stripes. The linear to elliptical leaves are close to the shoot tips and are wedge-shaped at the base and have a blunt or pointed tip. They become 1 to 3 cm long and 2 to 3 mm wide. The top of the leaves is furrowed and the bottom is convex.
The inflorescences form up to 10 cm long, spread out thyrsen with 3 to 5 monochasias , which in turn carry 1 to 3 upright single flowers. The inflorescence stalk is hairy glandular-downy. The flower stalk becomes 1.2 to 2 cm long. The linear to lanceolate sepals are also hairy with glandular and downy hairs and are up to 3 mm long and 1 mm wide. The tubular corolla is pink on the inside and 5 to 8 mm long and 3 mm in diameter. The extended and later bent back tips are elongated and up to 5 mm long.
