Tyler Hemming (born May 9, 1985 in London , Ontario ) is a Canadian football player .

Career

Hemming started his football career on the Secondary School team at Saunders Secondary School in Westmount, London , Ontario . He then played for four years between 2003 and 2006 for the Hartwick Hawks , the college team of Hartwick College . During the 2005 and 2006 break he played for Ottawa Fury in the USL Premier Development League . In the MLS Supplemental Draft 2007 he was selected in the 4th round by Toronto FC and was mainly used in the reserve. He made his professional debut in October 2007 against the New York Red Bulls . In April 2008, Hemming was put on the waiver list by Toronto (thus giving up their rights to the player) and Hemming then completed trial training in Europe. After he did not receive a contract offer there, he first returned to Toronto, where he came to another assignment in August 2008.

In September 2008, the Finnish club Tampere United invited him to a trial training and Hemming completed four games in the Veikkausliiga for the club . In 2009, the more defensive midfielder moved to the USL First Division at Charleston Battery . After 26 games in the USL First Division in 2009, he turned his back on the club and returned to Canada, where he signed for Montreal Impact on January 13, 2010 . In Montreal he played in five games until the summer of 2010 and moved to the USSF Division 2 Professional League club Austin Aztex in early July . In October 2010, however, the club moved to Orlando, Florida and Hemming returned to Canada. After five months without a club, he signed in March 2011 for the Canadian Soccer League club Forest City London . There he played 23 games in two seasons and scored 2 goals before signing for city rivals London Marconi in the Western Ontario Soccer League in summer 2013 .

International

Hemming came to some missions for the U-20 and U-23 selection of Canada; in May 2009 he made his debut for the Canadian senior team in a friendly against Cyprus .
