Tyson Smith (born July 31, 1987 ) is a Canadian biathlete .

Tyson Smith from the Foothills Nordic Ski Club started in Presque Isle for the first time in 2006 at a Junior World Championship. The best results were 42nd in the singles and eighth in the relay. In 2006 he also ran in several races of the Junior European Cup. His next appearance on the international stage was the Junior World Championships 2008 in Ruhpolding , where 29th place was the best result in the individual. In the summer he took part in the North American Roller Ski Biathlon Championships 2008 in Canmore . In the singles, Smith was ninth, sixth in the sprint and seventh in the pursuit. Several appearances in the European Biathlon Cup followed in the 2008/09 season . The first highlight in the men's area was participation in the (open) biathlon European championships in 2009 in Ufa . In Siberia, the Canadian finished 40th in the individual, 41st in the sprint and 42nd in the pursuit.
