The subway station Cernusco sul Naviglio is an aboveground station underground Milan , serviced by the line M2. The train station is in the center of the city of Cernusco sul Naviglio , in the metropolitan city of Milan .
history
The station was built in the 1960s as part of the Linee celeri dell'Adda (roughly: " Adda- Schnellbahnen"), a railway line that replaced the existing tram from Milan to Vaprio .
The Schnellbahn was opened on May 5, 1968 and was initially operated with the old tram cars; from December 4, 1972, it was integrated into line 2 of the Milan subway .
Station complex
The railway line runs in the trough in the middle of the city center of Cernusco sul Naviglio .
The station has two tracks with side platforms ; the reception building is located above the railway system.
