The subway station Khreshchatyk ( Ukrainian Хрещатик (станція метро) / Khreshchatyk (stanzija metro) ) is an underground station of the Metro Kiev on Khreshchatyk , the central boulevard of the Ukrainian capital Kiev . The station complex is an architectural monument and has a daily traffic of 39,500 people.
The underground underground station, built under the direction of the architect Anatolij Dobrowolskyj and opened on November 6, 1960, has three underground halls and two entrances: the main entrance at Khreschtschatyk house number 19a and a second at the Hotel Ukrajina . It has a 100 m long and 19.7 m wide platform and is open daily from 5.40 a.m. to 12.12 a.m.
Connection
The station is on the 22.7 km long metro line 1 (Svyatoschynsko-Brovarska) between the Teatralna and Arsenala metro stations . At the underground station you can change to underground line 2 at the Majdan Nesaleschnosti underground station .
