U-cee , bourgeois Ussama Soleman (born March 21, 1983 in Regensburg ), is a German funk , soul and dance hall singer, lead singer of the formation U-cee & The Royal Family since mid-2009 .

Life

U-cee, son of a Tunisian mother and an Egyptian father, received his first recording contract with Virgin Records for a single production in 1998 with his Funk & Soul crew UST . With the Nuremberg hip-hop band Rundfunk 2 , he released the album "Ruhestören" in 2000. Then he joined the Regensburg drum and bass formation Bassline Paranoia and founded the event agency IPF Entertainment . Since 2001 he has been touring as a member of the Regensburg hip-hop & soul band Flowkiste and in 2003 released the album “Image” with them. In 2002 he supported the " Team Eimsbush " sampler. From 2003 he toured as MC and Singjay of the reggae & dancehall band Mortal Kombat Sound (MKS). In 2004 he also became a member of King Banana , which reformed in mid-2009 and has since toured with U-Cee as lead singer under the name U-cee & The Royal Family . Since 2005 he has been touring with his bandmate “DJ Rufflow” as a duo or partly as a trio with “Miss Soulstice” (Bettina “Tine” Parge), until 2009 under the name King Banana Soundsystem , and since the parent band was renamed in 2009 under the name Royal Family Soundsystem . His other musical successes included his musical collaboration on "Mind Traffic" (Mole Listening Pearls Records), a track on the Moodorama album "My Name Is Madness", as well as participation in other bands and samplers.
