Sports broadcasts
In 2008, the First National Broadcaster acquired the broadcasting rights for the European Football Championships 2008 , which were held in Switzerland and Austria , for 4 million euros . The negotiating partner was the Germany-based sports business agency SportFive , which manages the rights as an official partner of UEFA . Although NTCU had the exclusive rights to the broadcast, Sport 1 , which is part of the Surface Group , could also broadcast the games, as the rights to the cable and satellite channels were acquired earlier.
"First National" also bought the exclusive rights to the Summer Olympics in Beijing . The plan to broadcast via a sub-license via the station “Inter” and its own sports channel “Megasport” has not been implemented.
In 2009 “First National” also acquired the broadcasting rights to the Champions League and the Europa League . The competing broadcasters "Ukraine" and "TET" refused to buy because of the high license costs.
2011 "Cherwonenko Racing" bought the rights to broadcast the "First National" Formula 1 on the territory of Ukraine. The contract between the two parties covered the years 2011 to 2013. Maxim Podzigun commented on the 2011 Formula 1 World Championship races.
