The UNI-POLY rowing regatta is a since 1945 discharged rowing race between the University of Zurich (university) and the ETH Zurich (poly) . The race is organized by the Academic Sports Association Zurich (ASVZ). The duel, based on the famous Boat Race between the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford , is held annually at the beginning of November between the aft of the two Zurich universities.

The rowing regatta now consists of four races. The men's main race has been held 58 times since 1945. The rowing duel did not take place between 1953 and 1959. In 1965 the race had to be stopped when the university's boat broke into two parts after 1000 m and in 1999 it was canceled due to wind and high waves. A women's duel has been held since 2001, a competition between professors since 2005 and an annual duel between alumni of the respective universities since 2013.

The races will be held today over 600 m on the Limmat in best-of-three mode. The start is still in Lake Zurich about 130 m before the Quaibrücke and the finish is between the Münster and Rathausbrücke .
