USA Songwriting Competition

The USA Songwriting Competition is a songwriting competition and music award . It was held for the first time in 1995. Supporters include various US magazines such as: B. New Music Weekly , Acoustic Guitar Magazine or Singer & Musician magazine as well as international companies like Sony or Ibanez .

The winner across all categories will receive 50,000 USD , second place 9,000 USD and the third-place 6,500 USD. The winners in each category will each receive $ 2,200. In addition, the winners receive various material prizes. The jury consists of representatives of the music industry, so u. a. A&R manager and music producer for Universal Music , Warner and EMI . So far, over 50,000 participants have participated in a total of 15 categories.

The winners included B. Kate Voegele (2005), Jean-Yves Ducornet (2004) and Catya Maré (2010).
