history
Azur Air Ukraine is a Kiev- based company that was founded in 2009 as a subsidiary of Russian airline UTair under the name UTair Ukraine . In the context of the Ukraine crisis and the associated falling national Ukrainian demand, domestic flights were canceled in 2014 and international charter flights were offered. In connection with this, the five ATR 72-500 regional aircraft were sold.
On November 30, 2015, the Turkish tour operator Anex Tour took over the company and renamed it Azur Air Ukraine . In 2016, Anex Tour plans to fly the remaining three Boeing 737-800s first to Turkey , Egypt and Spain and later to Bulgaria , Greece and Italy .
