The Udarser Wiek

The Udarser Wiek is an approximately 8 km² large lagoon-like bay in the Baltic Sea between the islands of Rügen in the north and Ummanz in the south. In the west the Bodden merges into the Schaproder Bodden and in the southeast at the Gahlitz into the Koselower See . At the northeast end of the bay is the island of Öhe .

The Udarser Wiek is very flat (mostly less than 1.5 meters).

The bay was named after the Schaprod district of Udars on Rügen . The bay is part of the Western Pomerania Lagoon Area National Park and belongs to the West Rügen Bodden .
