Ugly Americans is an American animated series developed by Devin Clark and David M. Stern , a former writer of The Simpsons . It is completely animated with Flash .

action

Ugly Americans is set in contemporary New York, which in the series is not only inhabited by humans and animals, but also by a multitude of mythical creatures , demons and monsters . The main character is Mark Lilly, a social worker whose job it is to assist immigrants of all kinds with their integration into society.

main characters

  • Mark Lilly is new to New York and his job at the integration agency. He has a strong social streak and is often the only one who really cares about the problems of his protégés. Often, however, he lacks the necessary knowledge about individual creatures, which leads to misunderstandings and problems. He has a tumultuous relationship with his manager Callie.
  • Randall Skeffington is Mark's roommate and a zombie , which he intentionally became to impress a woman while drunk. Mostly he is only concerned with his own pleasure and is constantly on the lookout for sexual adventures.
  • Callie Maggotbone is Mark's boss, with whom he has a complicated relationship that ends and resumes several times over the course of the series. She is the daughter of the devil and a mortal, which makes her half a succubus . She often seems to be torn between her human and her demonic side.
  • Leonard Powers is a wizard and after massive budget cuts, Mark's only remaining employee. He is a heavy alcoholic and often uses his magic powers to evade his job, so he is rarely of any help to Mark. He is often represented by his hologram Melchior , which is completely identical to him, except that Melchior is purple and translucent.
  • Twayne Boneraper (German bone cutter ) is the head of the integration authority and also a demon. He doesn't believe in social work like the one Mark does, and often tries to hinder him from doing it, but his own incompetence and his need for recognition keep getting in the way.
  • Francis "Frank" Grimes is in charge of prosecuting illegal immigrants at the agency and has great suspicion of anything non-human. Mark's tolerant attitude goes against the grain for him too.
