Ugo Ceseri

Ugo Ceseri (born June 30, 1893 in Florence , † December 3, 1940 in Rome ) was an Italian actor .

Life

Ceseri began his acting career in 1914 in the company of Ermete Novelli . He soon switched to Ruggero Ruggeri and was able to establish himself as a supporting actor for plump people at his next station, the " D'Annunziana ". From September 1930 he played in the company of Luigi Almirante / Andreina Pagnani / Nino Besozzi ; in autumn 1932 with Armando Falconi , where he stayed for two seasons. Then he left the stage and devoted himself exclusively to his film career, which had only begun in 1931. The "stockily built and thoroughbred actor who was always communicative in his roles" worked with many of the most important directors of the early Italian sound film era on around 45 films (including Guido Brignone , Alessandro Blasetti , Mario Camerini and Mario Bonnard ) and was one of the most important character actors up to his untimely death at the age of 47.
