The house at Uhlandstrasse 70 was built in 1898 by Carl Dederer for the wood sculptor Friedrich Klenk according to plans by August Dederer in the style of late historicism . The corner bay on the sloping edge of the building is remarkable. The windows of the bay window and the facade are varied. There are twin windows on one side of the facade and triple windows on the other .
history
The ground floor originally were grocery store and the restaurant Uhland Linde . The restaurant kept the name under several subsequent hosts. In the 1950s and 1960s the building belonged to the heirs of Friedrich Klenk. Tenant of Uhland Linde was 1950 Eugen Klozenbücher, 1961 Lotte Glock. The store was used by Karl Kreß's successor's regional product and animal feed store. From 1977 the Uhlandslinde was used as a restaurant horseshoe, vorm. Uhlandslinde continued.
The cellar of the building was used from 1961 to 1973 by the jazz club "Cave 61".
