The Uhliggipfel is a mountain peak in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . It rises in the southwest of Kirwanveggen , and there in the northeastern part of the cliffs of Urfjell , which in turn run from the rock spur Uven in the southwest to the Nunatakkern of Dråpane in the northeast.
It was discovered and named during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of polar explorer Alfred Ritscher . It is named after Karl Uhlig (* 1885), chief engineer of the research vessel Schwabenland . In Norway this peak is called Uhligberga .
