Ujazd (Bobolice)

Ujazd ( German  Wilhelmshöhe ) is a village in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . It belongs to the Gmina Bobolice (Bublitz municipality) in the Koszaliński powiat (Kösliner Kreis) .

Geographical location

Ujazd is 32 kilometers southeast of Białogard and 14 kilometers east of Tychowo . The place can be reached via the Voivodship Road 169 (Białogard - Byszyno ( Boissin ) - Tychowo - Głodowa ( Goldbeck ) - Bobolice ( Bublitz )) in the Wełdkowo ( Groß Voldekow ) junction. It is seven kilometers to the nearest train station Wielanowo ( Villnow ) on the Szczecinek – Kołobrzeg railway line . The Kolonia Ujazd, two kilometers to the northeast, belongs to Ujazd.

history

The surrounding area is characterized by large forest areas on light ground that were and are used for forestry. There is also a species-rich game population and therefore excellent hunting conditions.

Until 1945 Wilhelmshöhe was part of the community Schmenzin and belonged with this to the district of Belgard in the Prussian province of Pomerania .

In 1945, Wilhelmshöhe, like all of Western Pomerania, came to Poland. It received the Polish place name "Ujazd". Today the place belongs to Gmina Bobolice (municipality Bublitz) .

Wilhelmshöhe was part of the Schmenzin parish until 1945 and thus integrated into the Schmenzin parish (with the parish in Hopfenberg ). It belonged to the church district Belgard of the ecclesiastical province of Pomerania of the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union .

Today Ujazd is part of the parish Koszalin ( Köslin ) of the diocese of Pomerania-Greater Poland in the Polish Evangelical-Augsburg Church .
