Ulan (Haixi)

Ulan County (乌兰 县; Pinyin : Wūlán Xiàn) is a district of the Haixi Autonomous District of the Mongols and Tibetans in the Chinese province of Qinghai . It has an area of ​​10,784 square kilometers and has a population of 39,000 (2003).

It is located on the northeastern edge of the Qaidam Basin ( Chaidamu Pendi ) and is surrounded by high mountains.   

Administrative structure

At the community level, the district is made up of four large communities. These are: 

  • Large community of Xirig希 里 沟镇
  • Caka municipality 茶 卡 Groß
  • Large municipality of Hohod柯柯 镇
  • Greater community Toinbo铜普镇
