Ulf Raschke

Ulf Raschke (born July 23, 1972 in Recklinghausen ) is a former German soccer player . For Borussia Dortmund he played once in the Bundesliga and once in the European Cup.

Athletic career

Raschke began playing football at the Herten district club SV Vestia Disteln. In 1991 he moved to Borussia Dortmund, from then on he played in the amateur team at BVB in the major league. There he succeeded as a dangerous striker, but could not initially recommend himself for the professional team. Due to an injury miserable, he slipped into the squad in the 1992/93 UEFA Cup semi-finals against French club AJ Auxerre and came on a brief assignment. Also in the final he was briefly included in the squad, but in the 3-0 defeat in the first leg at Juventus Turin , he was without use. Since the team was traveling straight to the next Bundesliga match at 1. FC Nürnberg , he was also on the bench here and was substituted on in the second half.

Raschke later left Borussia and played for SC Verl , Rot-Weiss Essen and LR Ahlen in the upper and regional leagues . The trained industrial mechanic then became an amateur soccer coach .
