Hans-Ulrich "Uli" Sckerl (born April 28, 1951 in Weinheim ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in Weinheim, Sckerl began studying law and economics in Heidelberg and Frankfurt, which he did not complete. Since 1980 he has worked as an employee in a law firm, part-time as a consultant and managing director. Sckerl is married and has two children. He lives with his family in Weinheim.

Uli Sckerl has been a member of the Greens since 1980; He is currently one of the two chairmen of the green Neckar-Bergstrasse district association. He has been a district councilor since 1984, where he was chairman of the Greens' district parliamentary group in the Rhein-Neckar district until 2011. 1989–1998 he was a councilor for the GLH in Hirschberg an der Bergstrasse , and since 2004 he has been a councilor for the Green Alternative List in Weinheim. Sckerl was honorary chairman of the green-related local government association "Greens and Alternative in the Baden-Württemberg Councils (GAR)" from 1999 to 2010, which represents the interests of around 1250 green and green-related local elected officials in Baden-Württemberg at the state level . In this function he was also a member of the state board of the Greens in Baden-Württemberg from 2001 to 2010. In 2006 Sckerl was elected to the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg . In the Greens parliamentary group, he was the domestic and local political spokesman. Since the constitution of the new state government (May 12, 2011) under the leadership of Winfried Kretschmann , Sckerl has been parliamentary manager and deputy chairman of the Greens in the state parliament. In 2009 he received the ring of honor of the Rhein-Neckar-Kreis for 25 years of membership in the district council.
