Ulrich Burgard
Ulrich Burgard (* 18th April 1962 in Bonn ) is a German legal scholar and professor of business law at the Faculty of Economics at the Otto von Guericke - University of Magdeburg .
He studied at the universities of Munich and Bonn from 1983 to 1988 . In 1990, he graduated as Dr. rer. pole. and became a research assistant at the chair of Uwe H. Schneider at the TU Darmstadt . In 2001 he completed his habilitation and in 2002 he was a professor at the University of Mainz for the C4 professorship "European law, civil law, commercial and economic law, comparative law" .
From 1993 to 1998 he was a short-term representative of the Federal Republic of Germany in working groups of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law ( UNCITRAL ).
Since 2003 he has held the chair of civil law , commercial law , law and economics .
