Ulrich Druwe

Ulrich Druwe (born June 26, 1955 in Duisburg ) is a German political scientist and university professor .

Life

Druwe studied at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich a double degree in political science and philosophy of science as well as in the minor subjects public law , economics , sociology and psychology . There was carried out in 1983 its graduation to the Dr. phil. with the work Scientific development and scientific progress in the empirical sciences . He then worked as a research assistant and later as a research assistant and university lecturer at the Universities of Munich and Stuttgart as well as at Wayne State University . His habilitation took place in 1990 at the University of Augsburg with the thesis Moral Plurality - Foundation of an Analytical Ethics in Politics .

Druwe followed in 1995 a reputation as professor of political science at the University of Mainz . There he also became head of the Political Theory department , in 1997 also dean of the social sciences department, and then vice-president for studies and teaching in 1998 . In 2002 Druwe moved to the University of Basel as Vice Rector for Teaching, Studies and Further Education .

Since 2008 Druwe has been rector of the Freiburg University of Education .

Research priorities

Druwe deals with modern political theory , the history of political ideas and analytical political philosophy as well as the philosophy of science in political science.
