Ulrich Haagen

Bernd-Ulrich Haagen (born April 20, 1948 in Hildesheim ) is a German journalist . Since the end of 2009 he has been the head of the “Law and Justice” editorial team at ZDF and since 1992 the moderator of the 3sat court magazine Recht brisant .

Life

Haagen is the son of the former Hildesheim city planning officer Bernhard Haagen . He studied law , psychology and political science . After the legal traineeship he completed postgraduate studies in England , France and Italy . In 1979 he passed the assessor exam and was then assistant to a member of the Bundestag. From 1980 to 1982 he worked as an editor at WDR television, among other things in the editing of ARD law advice . He then worked as a freelance journalist. In 1985 he submitted his dissertation on "Legal Problems of Satellite Television". He had been deputy head of the “Law and Justice” editorial team at ZDF since 1987.
