Ulrich Harprath
Ulrich Harprath (born June 13, 1962 in Cologne-Mülheim ; † September 27, 2010 in Augsburg ) was a German journalist and author.
Life
Ulrich Harprath studied theology. He was a scholarship holder of the Institute for the Promotion of Young Journalists (ifp) and completed its journalism school . During his studies he worked for the Augsburger Allgemeine , Münchner Merkur and Süddeutsche Rundfunk .
From 1988 he was an editor at the Munich Catholic radio editorship, later chief editor of the media services of the Sankt Michaelsbund . As head of the radio and television editorial department of the Sankt Michaelsbund in Munich, he became deputy director. In 2008 the internet radio Münchner Kirchenradio , which he designed, was launched . He was a member of the media council of Katholischen Rundfunkarbeit Deutschlands (KRD) and spokesman for the working group of Catholic editors in private radio.
He was married and had three children. With his wife Gerda he wrote several religious children's books. Harprath died of a cerebral haemorrhage.
