Ulrich Homburg

Ulrich Homburg (born November 4, 1955 in Hanover ) is a German civil engineer . From June 1, 2009 to July 31, 2015, he was a member of the Board of Management for the Passenger Transport division of DB Mobility Logistics AG.

Career

From 1988 to the end of 1999 Homburg worked for the Deutsche Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft , from 1994 as commercial director, responsible for local public transport in general and local rail transport in particular. In 1998 he was appointed managing director of DEG.

On February 1, 2000, he took over the Marketing Board department at DB Regio . At the same time he was appointed deputy chairman of the board of the company. After taking office, he announced that the company would become more involved in road-bound public transport in cities and districts. One focus of the planned cooperation with municipal transport companies should be in the new federal states .

In 2003 he was appointed CEO of DB Regio. On June 1, 2009, he took over the passenger transport board division of DB Mobility Logistics AG.

Homburg's contract, which ran until 2019, was terminated prematurely in 2015. In his place came Berthold Huber , the previous head of DB Fernverkehr.
