Ulrich Koglin (* 1963 in Ratzeburg ) is a German journalist .

Ulrich Koglin grew up in Ratzeburg in Schleswig-Holstein , where he attended the Lauenburg School of Academics , where he belonged to the film group and designed the school newspaper . In the early 1980s he studied economics . During his school and university days, he made extensive bike trips through northern Germany and European countries. Likewise, bicycle trips in the small border traffic often took him to Mecklenburg in what was then the GDR .

Koglin has been a freelance television journalist since 1987. He reports on behalf of various production companies, but mainly works for the business editorial team of the NDR in Hamburg. For a long time he worked for the programs Markt and plusminus , for which he delivered reports on agricultural issues and the economic development in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

The friendship with the filmmaker Achim Tacke led to a collaboration in 1998 in which the two made the films Biopark - Landwirtschaft mit Zukunft? and realized an ark for the dear cattle . In addition, they shot documentaries and reports in cooperation with NDR and Arte about the consequences of globalization for agriculture in Europe. Together with Achim Tacke, Koglin has been producing the NDR series Landpartie - in the north with Heike Götz since 1998 .
